THANK YOU! To Those Who Supported the COVID-19 Response Effort

THANK YOU! to all those who supported the COVID-19 Response effort by donating to our Disaster Relief Fund on Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, May 5, 2020).  We more than doubled our fund holdings and will be prepared to support local efforts for COVID-19 Response in the future. The continued support of the members of this community (both near and far) are so greatly appreciated, especially in these times of uncertainty.

The Hinton Area Foundation would like to give a major shout-out to Philanthropy WV for its coordination effort in attracting the six Matching Fund Sponsors for “Take 5 to Give 5”:Toyota, United Bank, Highmark Foundation, Bernard McDonough Foundation, West Virginia American Water, and an anonymous donor, who matched funds up to $0.50 for every $1 donated to the participating relief funds across the state.  Statewide, the amount raised (including Sponsor matches) has been $505,000!

Again, our sincere thanks to you all for all that you do!  Your generosity is astounding.
