Due to the COVID -19 Crisis and the need for efforts to limit the spread of the virus, the Hinton Area Foundation has made the difficult decision to cancel our Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet scheduled for May 21, 2020. We know this is a true loss for our community and regret that we have had to make this decision. Sincerely, Myra Hogan, Executive Director

The Hinton Area Foundation’s “Disaster Relief Fund” is a safe source for contributing to COVID-19 response efforts in our community.  We support other organizations in Hinton and Summers County (e.g. REACHH-FRC, Yummy Bags, etc) whose expertise is providing direct services to those in need in the community.  Giving to the Hinton Area Foundation relieves these organizations of the work of accounting for funds from many donors and allows them to keep their focus on the work which they do best.

Please visit our website at to donate online via PayPal or send your check made out to: Hinton Area Foundation (write “Disaster Relief” in the memo line) and mail it to: Hinton Area Foundation, COVID-19 Relief, PO Box 217, Hinton WV 25951. While our offices are closed until further notice, you may also drop your check (in a sealed envelope) into the black mailbox at the front of our building at 104 James Street, Hinton.
